About Us
IFCC is a full-service bonded general contracting firm. Organized in 2014 by Rick Magliozzi, its President and Founder, who began his career in the industry while attending Medford Vocational Technical High School, and continued after graduating in 1989. Rick’s decades-long experience started with “hammer in hand” and “shovel in the ground” hands-on experience, which plays an important part in the company’s operation.
From residential remodeling, new homes (both custom and spec), site and utility work, commercial remodeling and construction, along with experience across several sectors including public, federal, and private, Rick’s decades long experience were the underpinnings for the Company’s humble beginnings in 2014.
IFCC is committed to four fundamental core values: Safety, Quality, Cost Control and Schedule. IFCC’s documented track record proudly exhibits all projects undertaken have been completed safely with the highest attention to detail ensuring optimum quality, adherance to budget, and schedule. In fact, several IFCC projects involved substantial changes to scope resutling from latent conditions and owner-requested changes. Even with those added changes and scope, IFCC was still able to complete these projects on time, and in some cases, early. IFCC has a proven track record for completing projects before their contractually manded completion dates.
Where a subcontractor or vendor may not otherwise possess prequalification by a state or government agency, or otherwise possess the ability to substantiate their ability to perform, IFCC’s stringent vetting of all subcontractors and vendors runs for the benefit of all project stakeholders. Less or ideally no risk equates to a sucessful project. Some aspects of this vetting process include review of a subcontractor or vendors references, past projects, financial condition, if they are bondable, types and limits of insurance carried and whether they comply with IFCC’s requirements, loss run reporting, their worker’s compensation modification rating, any safety violations, the number and extent of any legal disputes, full and complete understanding of the project and scope, and their mandatory ability to perform and administer contracts both in the field, but also the highly demanding administrative compliance present in some private, and all public and federal contracts. These are but a few of the areas of risk management implemened and overseen by Rick Magliozzi as part of his daily functions.
